SAN JUAN BAUTISTA — November 2, 2026. California State Parks lists daily opening hours of 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at San Juan Bautista State Historic Park, a preserved historic plaza with exhibits on California’s Spanish, Mexican and American eras.
What the park includes
The state identifies the Plaza Hotel, Plaza Stables, Castro-Breen Adobe and Zanetta House/Plaza Hall among its historic museum spaces. The grounds also include a historic jail and other preserved structures that explain the town’s early role as a regional crossroads.
Museum admissions and holidays
The state’s visitor page publishes a standard adult museum entry price of $3, subject to changes and applicable park passes. The park is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Rules before visiting
Dogs are not permitted in the state historic park. Tours can be arranged with advance reservation, and visitors should verify accessibility, museum openings and fees with the park at 831-623-4881. The nearby mission is a separate institution.
